I love the lead singer’s voice. It has a very real sound though I am sure they use some sort of editing. They don’t edit his voice to the take away the roughness that we all have in our voices as we get older. It really fits the emotion of this song in particular though I like it in their other songs.

I like how simple this song is instrumentally. The piano in this song is especially only a few notes played over almost in a loop though it sounds like there may be slight variation. And then small inclusions of other instruments like a horn, plucking of a guitar and maybe a stringed instrument. It really allows the singer’s voice to be the focus.

The lyrics are not clearly about one thing though from the tone of the song it is clearly very melancholy. I like this line in particular: I am folded and unfolded and unfolding.
