I love the new trend of mixing modern sounds like electric guitars with old school blues, jazz and even big band style.
The singer for the Noisettes is amazing. She has a beautiful voice and at least in this studio version seems very in tune with her voice and never reaching for notes she can’t reach.
The rhythm in this song is so easy going and fun, it definitely makes me want to go out on the floor and dance or at least sway in my seat.
And I like the subject of the song. It almost seems like its about old friends meeting up again and how even if you haven’t seen a friend in a while they are still your friend.
