This is a cover of a blues/folk singer Lead Belly. This kind of music really gets to me. And man, if Kurt Cobain couldn’t put his own spin on it that totally brings a whole new emotion to the song. Especially when he is basically yelling the song out. It brings an anger to a song that is otherwise melancholy.

The guitar work on this song is amazing, especially since the version I am posting is all on acoustics. Its slow and uncomplicated but so steady and amazing.
