I love how this song starts with a lighter guitar sound and quickly transitions into very deep bass and guitar sounds. According to wikipedia the guitar riffs in this song are uncharacteristic for the band and more grunge sounding, which is probably why this song is my favorite. I tend to like heavier sounds.
The vocals are so packed with emotion in this song. I love how her voice goes from low to very high on the chorus repeating “zombie” it almost starts to sound primal in the way it is coming from her throat more than a mouth sound.
The whole song is one of those songs I love to play as loud as possible. It sounds the best on a car stereo or in earphones, something about the compression of the sound into a small space just makes it sound better to me for some reason.
