5 Things of Interest

1. Rhubarb Bars by Lara Ferroni

If these bars taste as good as they look I need to make them. I love the tartness of rhubarb but hate eating it whole because its likeness to celery. In this recipe its a curd and jam which allows for the taste without the weird texture.

2. Desktop Organization with background image

Found this entry via Shelteriffic and I can’t believe I never thought of it. You make your background image to organize documents and projects.

3. Flower Grenades

I forget where I found these. I love the idea of guerrilla gardening, taking over abandoned areas especially in urban enviros and planting beautiful flower gardens. These are ceramic containers with wild flower seeds that you can throw at an empty lot in hopes of sprucing it up.

4. 6 Marshmallow recipes

At The Kitchn there are 6 recipes for marshmallows. I have never made my own but I like the idea of it, especially in being able to flavor them differently.

5. Milk from Here by David Lebovitz

Everything David Lebovitz writes about food is worth the read. I especially liked this article as it reminded me of the one thing I struggled with the most when I was an exchange student in France, shelf stable milk. I never got used to have cereal with hot milk.
