You can like the Snow Patrol version if you so desire. Its good. But this version is fantastic. I admit I am totally biased about this song. My husband and I heard it when the movie Garden State came out and the lyrics totally spoke to us and the slow, easy way it’s executed just seemed to be a reflection of our love. And this is also the song we first danced to at our wedding. And to this day, we still occasionally dance to it in our living room.
Samuel Beam’s voice is extraordinary. It has this soothing and whispery quality that just makes my heart ache when he sings slow songs like this one.
